I have an 1996 286 pro XL with a Johnson 150 Fast Strikeand love it. Solo the boat does around 60-62, with a full load it's around 56-58. There is plenty of storage. The boat handles well and is comfortable to fish out of. I ave. 18 tourneys a year and have had no problems.

Nice rig......not a lot of issues with the year. It should make you a good one.

Same old warning.....pay a legit dealer to check it out before purchase.

I have a 1990 285 Pro w/ Evinrude XP 175 w/ 6" jack plate. With 25" Raker it runs 65-68 mph, one person, 61-63 w/2. I normally run a 4 blade 25 Renegade, little slower,2-3 mph but more stable all around prop. Own this boat since new and never had any issues beyond normal. Very good tough water ride and solid fishing platform. Will make a great boat to start with. I've liked mind for 18 yrs. Good luck and hope this helps.
