    Seat mounts

    I have a 2006 Stratos 201 PROXL.

The rear seat post has no connection to the bottom of the seat to keep it from flying off during transport. I normally take the rear seat off and put it in the floorboard of the passenger area while out on the water, and in the truck cab when traveling.

Is there a known fix for this issue or am I missing a part such as a non-friction based swivel?

    Thanks,
    Electro (David)

    Re: Seat mounts (Electro)

    Replying to myself again.

I wanted to document this for anyone else that encounters the problem.

The rear seat on my stratos will pop off at the top very easily. It turns out that the factory punch divots (located a few inches below the top of the seat pole) aren't deep enough so that the seat bottom relieved-flexible-clip (for lack of a proper term) is properly engaged when it is pressed into the seat stand/pole (It doesn't click into place).

I think I am simply going to take a punch and fix it myself instead of swapping out the post. It was, as you might suspect, made in China, the land of loose tolerances.
