    Lowrance 332c won't "see" network

I just finished swapping out the old X135 with a year old 332c, and it won't see the NMEA network, even though it was working before.

Is there some menu item I am missing, or am I the proud owner of a bad from the factory brand new year old 332c that is now out of warranty?

    Thanks,
    Electro

I like to reply to myself. I have done it a lot lately.

Caution if you have a 2006 (or possibly other models) 201 PRO XL. The NMEA 2000 buss wasn't completely hooked up on mine. There was enough stray current for it to recognize the fuel flow sensor, but the power connector for the buss (which is separate from the power for the unit) was not connected. With the wires all bundled up in the dash, it was hard to see what was wrong.

With the GPS puck/antenna, it needed some real power.

Oh, and the position of the puck beside the oil cap works great. I will use silicon or velcro to hold it down. I am going to turn my wife loose with a green permanent marker to kill some of the white of the puck
