    problem with aeroater on livewells.

Sometimes I leave live minnows in the livewell and want to leave the aeroaters on auto timer. The problem is that is drains the main motor batteries. I do not have enough power even to turn the 200 hp evin over.
    Is this a common problem?
the aeroater actually pumps fresh water into the livewells. It will continue to pump intermittently until the tank is overflowing and then the bilge pump will come on once a while to pump out water. I thought the aeroater just pumps air.
So i bought a battery operated air pump and it works ok.

Re: problem with aeroater on livewells. (pvhtc)

Im kind of confused what your asking... Running a battery operated device will most definietly drain the battery...And if you have a proair system in your boat thats what you want to use as an aerator not recycle if you dont have to. I dont think minnows will have a problem with just fresh bubblers thats what we used as kids here.

I think im brain fried and it prob made sense but its been a damn long week here...
