How fast should a 285 pxl run?

We did a p2 kit on a 285 Magnum with a 175 and didn't see a huge improvement.

Friend has an older 285 w/ a 150 and it will run!! Don't know the exact numbers but he hung with my 200 pretty good. The older faststrikes sure sound tuff!!

My 18 fter with a 150 is good for low 60s have heard of some that can get to mid-upper 60s. Talked to a guy at the ramp one day who said his 285 would do 75 (waved the BS flag on that one )

If you get the 285xl with the Evin 150HO it will do 63-64gps every day all day with 2 people and a full load and with a light load it will be 2 -3 mph faster. I sold one about 3 months ago. That was a great boat and there were no 18 footers that passed me.
