    STRATOS PLANT EXPANDING!!

A much needed plant expansion has been approved my Genmar.
The Murfreesboro facility is planned to recieve a 60,000 sf/ft addition.
    This is great news.

Sounds good. I can't wait to see what products come out of the expanded area.

Re: STRATOS PLANT EXPANDING!! (Freedom Outdoors)

At the Stratos factory yard sale a few weeks back I asked one of the staff running the sale why they were selling all that stuff, and she said they needed to make room for a new line they were starting up. When I asked what new line, she told me they were going to start building the Hydrasports boats there in the near future. She went to say that Genmar had always owned the Hydrasports line, but were built in Florida. She didn't say whether they were going to revive the bass boat line or just build and ship the inshore/offshore boats. Maybe someone with more information could expand on it?

Inshore/Offshore. Hydrasport has been owned by Genmar for as long as Genmar has owned Stratos/Javelin/Champion. Those were all lines of OMC. Genmar has enough bassboat lines. Well, unless they do away with an existing line.

I can't wait to see the bay boats....I am glad the cat is out of the bag and we can talk about it... Our rep gave us the skinny in Oct last year that this was going to happen. Last I heard was 4 new bay boats/center consoles are going to be offered...

Would it be 4 or possibly 7 new (renamed) models? Stratos or Hydrasport?

HS will be 23' and under bluewater models. There's already Wellcraft bluewater boats being built at Murfreesboro.
