I have the 176xt and love it. One thing I'd like to add are struts to hold the center rod box up when I'm getting a rod out, has anyone done this that can shed some light on what i'll need or if its even possible?
thanks
chris

Suppose you could use gas struts like alot of boat use, they are available from most marine stores and mount with 2 brackets. Since the lid doesnt have a cross brace you would probably have to through bolt the mount that goes on the lid.
