    Good and bad news

The good news, me and the wife are having our first baby! And it's a boy , due date is just a month away.

The bad news, forced to sell my 2017 Ranger RT188. After much back and forth the wife will not be going back to work once our boy is born. This means I have to sacrifice my new boat . I'll still be on the forums. I might just pick up a dinky boat until I can afford a nice tin again.

If you guys know of anyone looking for a mint RT188, spread the word. It's listed here on BBC.

Great decision. That's what we did with our child. She went back part time when he started school. You will never regret it, so much happens when they are young

Been there done this. Most of the time I realized later that I didn't really need to sell the boat.

Its the right way to think - congrats! They'll still be making boats no worries.

    Thanks guys!

Blakesfav, I was thinking that I might not have to as well. But I'd rather be on the conservative side. Healthcare cost, taxes, and just about everything else seems to be going up. Plus you're exactly right, when I'm ready for another boat I'm sure there will be plenty to choose from.

And by then my new fishing buddy might be ready to join me. I'm lucky to have a few buddy's with boats as well. So I'll just bum rides every now and then for my fix.

Thats what my wife wants to do as well once our child starts school. With all the horror stories of children being treated badly at daycare centers it was an easy decision for my wife to be a stay at home mom. Nobody will care for your own kids like oneself.

Congrats on the baby! I'm in the same spot as you. Wife wants to be full time momma so the boats on the chopping block. Toys come and go I'll have another one later.

The only thing better than having a nice bass boat is having some buddies with nice bass boats... buy some fuel and pick up the tab for lunch and you're golden!

    Congrats on the new addition!

Exactly what I did before I had my boat I'll be going back to that routine unless I can pick up a used boat for cheap once mine sells.
