Hi everyone. I am currently in Iraq until May, but I want to do some work or have some work done to my boat. None of my gauges are working. I am wondering if replacing them and rewiring them is an easy self task or if better left to a professional. I have looked them over and it just looks like most all of the wires are coroded and not getting good connection. So I figured while I am at it just put new gauges in. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
Changing the gauges is not a real hard job. I have done it on 2 boats and its not bad. But you might try cleaning up the connections and check your wires.
Yeah I know the wires need replaced they are pretty old, and coroded. I was just thinking if I have to replace wires I should do gauges too. The wiring I guess was my biggest concern.
Does this year boat have a fuse panel or something that would cause all gauges not to work? If so What am I looking for somthing similiar to an automobile up under the console somewhere?
