why dont they use A.S.X hull under any of there boats 200pxl,201pxl.those boats(asx) would fly. i think the pad was a little narrower or somthin.cant beleive they havent brung it back.any thoughts.if they did probably be my next boat.although i love my toon.
Whille they are at it...why don't they offer the magnum upgrade anymore (300 hp cap) and why does the new 385 have a 200 hp rating while the 386 (same hull) have a 175 rating???
I was wondering the same thing! Maybe since they dropped the XL off of the names of the boats, if they brought them back they could call it the 200 XL or 201 XL or something. Or maybe they can offer an XL package on boats that would be something like how the magnum package used to be. Just some thoughts!
They didn't drop the XL off of the names, they dropped the 'Pro'.
There's a lot more to it than just slapping the ASX hull under a current model boat. There's also reasons why this won't happen.

WHAT REASONS,i would like to see that hull back into production.im sure alot of people would too.im sure they would sell a bunch of them.they could call them 201superpros or sumthin.
Probably liability, I would guess. They are difficult to drive and are probably lethal in the wrong hands. At today's prices, would probably be sold for $60K+ leading to a limited market. JMHO though.
also hate to say it but there were some construction problems with stringers and such. was a hot boat but was not in my never to be humble opinion tested enough in real life conditions. as for lethal, any boat in the hands of a rookie with no experience is lethal, doesnt have to be a 80+mph boat I have seen rookies run infront of boats not knowing the rules of the road in 35 hp jon boats and you sit and shake your head wondering if they will live to see the next year.

If there was enough demand for the boat before they would have stuck with it...
Also... it was a limited edition boat that they were only going to make an X amount off... I think 100... and they only made a little over have of them I believe... so no one really wanted it...
Had it sold well, we may have seen something similar i'm sure but it didn't...
Neat boat though thats for sure.. not the best rough water hull though....

Demand is the same reason you won't see the Magnum package back anytime soon.
Since they factory rig all the motors they had to have a selection of 300hp motors on hand and there was not enough demand to justify keeping them expensive motors in stock.
Also, take into consideration that hull was built with Carbon Fiber stringers and other Carbon Fiber parts. If they would have built that boat the same way they build the 200 and 201, it would not have been quite as fast. When you think of an ASX with a 225 H.O. running low 80's and a 200 XL w/ a 225 H.O. running 80, why build a ASX with the extra time and costs involved in the production???
