Sharp boat. How much was that optional cup holder on the front? And, it didn't take you long to remove the 285 XL stickers did it?

    Re: Finally Posting Pics (1niceBlazer)

That original cup holder up front came free of charge, except for the Dr. Pepper that was in it. I think it was 3.25 at Bryant Denny.

285XL stickers came off about the second week.

You know it's amazing how many people don't recognize it as an 18'6" without the stickers until they see a 20 or 21 beside it.

It is especially hard for them to realize it when they are fishing out of it.

I can recognize it by the deep cut the hull takes up at the front. The larger Stratos boats angle back a little more instead of dropping down like that.

Again, it is a nice looking boat. I had an '04 285 and really liked it a lot.

From your picture, I thought it was a 200. The color scheme makes it look longer than it is.

Kenneth, I thought you'd like those colors. You're partial to red, aren't you?

Re: Finally Posting Pics (TritonAL 186)

Thank you all for the compliments. I really do like it, as I sold my bullet.

I removed the 285 decals with an "unusual" method. I took a piece of 20 lb mono and removed the decal itself by running the mono under the back side, pulling it with a pair of gloves on of course. I then took WD-40 to remove the sticky stuff. I then took a boat restorer wax to repair the shine.

BTW, I'm partial to red to.

I call it a crimson and white boat. If you look close you can see an Alabama (Roll Tide) cup on the front.

Good look'n boat and colors. Like they say it looks like a 200. Took all my decals off after some got torn. Everyone trys to figure what kind of boat it is. I think they look good that way.
