    285 Pro starting point

Need a starting point for a '89 Stratos 285 PRO with a Johnson GT 150 on it. I will be buying this boat with no prop and no history available for previous prop on it. It has a 6" manual jackplate on it as well. I have psted in the setup and prop section as well. Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: 285 Pro starting point (mountbkr)

I have the same rig, except with a Merc. Can get 58 w full tanks, empty wells, and fishin parder w/gear. On a cold day lightly loaded, I've seen 61.

It was setup when I got it...have a Turbo prop on it and it looks like it's up 2 inches on the plate from rest. I am happy w/the performance from an old boat with a 150, so I haven't measured prop to pad or any of that stuff.
