Hey guys, I am considering buying a 2002 Stratos 19xl Silver star with a 200 Mercury. First off what is the deal with the silver star? The price is $16,500, I thought that was a pretty decent price what do you guys think? I currently own a '98 Javelin 389B with a 175 Evinrude Intruder and was wondering what improvements in performance and as a whole I could look for. Thanks so much for your time and help.

The Silver Star was just a package that included (or did not include) certain options. That is a good boat. As long as it has all the goodies you want and looks and runs like you expect, you will be pleased.

the 19XL is a good boat. If you're happy with it and think you're getting a good deal, go for it. I lit on the 19XL back in 2002. It was blue, black and silver and had a Merc 200 EFI on the back. I didn't buy it, but it was one of the boats on the short list. Take a test drive before you buy to see how everything works and how it rides.
