I looking into buying a stratos bass boat.Either a 295 or 294 pro xl.I like the price most of all.But thats all I really have to go on.Nearest dealer to me is about 6 hours away so a demo is gonna be tough.I like the 19'6 and for around 25k here in CA you cant beat the price.36k for a Ranger or a Triton just seems crazy to me.I fish team tournments out here and I fish the same out of a 1k boat as a 40k boat.(my partner has a 21x triton) Any info would be great.
The 295 is an optioned out boat and you're paying for the extras. . . The 294 is a down to earth basic fishing machine with everything you need, nothing you don't. (I think I borrowed that from somewhere) Anyway, if you're buying new, the 294 is the best value in the 19ft class. Put a 200 EFI motor on the back and you've got a great fishing platform. The 195 (dropped from lineup), the 294, and 295 all share the same lower hull. They all ride and perform well.

The 294 will be a great choice. My dad was looking for a new boat a few months ago and this is the boat I recommended for him. He has had it about a month and is very pleased. He has a 294 Pro XL / Evinrufde E-TEC 200 HO.
