correct front sitting position using trolling motor on 99 295PE

With the foot petal where it is, I find it akward to control the trolling motor for long days on this boat. Am I alone or is this something everyone has to get used to?
Whether I lower the seat to sit on it or lean against it seems to tire my legs or hurt my back.

Don...you're just getting OLD !!! Just kidding ya man...same problem here till I installed a recessed tray. Man what a difference! No more standing around out of balance and body out of whack. Check out one on a boat at local dealer and you'll see the difference. Good luck

if you are using the fishing seat and not a bike seat get a bill dance pole it is "s" shapped and tends to let the person be back a little farther than the usual short pole. the tray is fine but plan on spending a few hundred to get the dealer to install or do it your self is not supossed to be hard to do just cutting into the deck takes nads.
I use the pole and butt seat, and have had major back surgery( bone fusion), I found if i turn the butt seat to whenrte the stratos is to the front then lean against it it helps also take the screws out of the foot control and then you can move it around to where you are comfortable. I am a big guy and to be honest I dont like standing on the front 1/8th of the nose of the boat I like it back where I feel more stable especially when some dummy in a cabin cruiser comes by with his boats nose in the air and his either in his girlfriends/wifes/touch of the day's area or on the console sniffing candy.
