War Eagle Tomahawk opinions...need some help!

I'm strongly considering purchasing either a War Eagle 961 Blackhawk or a War Eagle 961 Tomahawk. I'm leaning towards the Tomahawk due to the layout, but I can't find hardly any reviews online of them. I guess not many people have one. I'm hoping some of you guys may have some experience with one or know of someone who does. I did see one guy on here had one that War Eagle had to weld beads on to so that it wouldn't porpoise. I'm hoping that isn't a common thing.

I like the Blackhawk side console model too, but the small 16 gallon fuel tank has me worried. The Tomahwak has a 23 gallon tank.

    My questions are:

    1. If you have/had one or know of someone who has had a War Eagle Tomahawk, what is your overall opinion?
    2. Has anyone else had any issues with porpoising?
    3. How do you feel about the 16 gallon tank on the Blackhawk, will it be too small?

If you watch the Crappie Masters or American Crappie Trail the War Eagle is one of the main boats. Aside from that, I dont hardly ever see them. Doesnt make much sense to me. Good luck, they sure make a nice quality boat from what I can tell.

Ive been around 2 of the tomahawk, both had the pad hull which is not built anymore. Was a great boat. The console is a litte cheap or it was in on these. The transom corners had cracks, not bad but still had them from the weight if the 150. 60-62 light loaded with a 150 v max carb motor with no setback. They were a litte weight sensitive which will cause some porposing. Its a big boat and in my eyes the 115 they want to put on them is underpowered. A tube of jb weld can be a good thing if it porposes them file down from there. I hope this helps if u want any specfics pm me and ill tell u what i remember

its a good boat but there are a few issues you will run into.

    Small livewell
Not a huge network of dealers around.
    Consoles are cheaply made
They do porpoise most tin boats do, they will have trim tabs welded on or at least they should. Once you learn the boat its not an issue.
They had issues with the paint on the bottom of the hull coming off. Not sure if thats still a thing or not.

    The good,
Its a solid heavy boat compared to some other tins
    Rides well fishes even better.
War Eagle has the best customer service I have found.

The small fuel tank wont be an issue with a 115 4 stroke.

I forgot, (haven’t been on the water since the end of October) I will agree that the live well is a little small. That would be the only complaint I have about my war eagle.
