OK, 1999 202DC - Finally Cleaned up & Ready For Fun (Pics)

I had a mishap and short turned the side of her along a telephone pole, and cracked gel & flake the tune of $8,400. The insurance co totaled it and gave me $5,090. I went back to fiberglass shop and worked a deal for cash. He repaired gel & flake, filled extra little holes and a 2' long gash in bottom of hull, and installed a new rubrail. $6k for final cost. The flake is a real close match. The owner eyeballed it, and mixed it himself.
So...the HIN has a "Salvage" attached to the Title, but there was no structural damage, just cracked a lot of gel & flake.
It has a Tuffskinz Motor Cover on because the top cowling was beat up when I bought it.

1st pic is of flake job, the rest is of the boat as a whole.

That & a Keel Shield asap!
I put a post about what size Keel Shield to get and can't seem to get an answer.
    It's a 6' or 7' for the 202, but not sure.

That blue looks really cool. Everything about that boat looks cool. For what it's worth, my boat is 19'8" and I went with a 6' keel guard. I've had it for 5 years and have been happy with it. If I had to do it again, I'd get the same length for my boat. Make darn sure the installer knows what they're doing. Get feedback from other customers before making a decision.

Thanks TX, I'm still deciding on length of Keel Shield. I also own a 921 Phoenix that's 21.6 and I think it has 6'er on it. No complaints.

I saw that boat before you bought it and the shop who did the work for you did a great job. You brought it back to life!

Thanks! Yeah, the fiberglass shop was recommended by a couple friends. Pretty reasonable in price, and will work with you if you can't afford what the estimate costs.

Give us the name of the fiberglass shop. Might help other members in the area...
