How to Replace Rod Bungees 21i Class

Anyone have suggestions. Mine is starting to fray.

Broken rod tiedown straps.
Reach up under the gunwales from the rod locker and find the end of the broken cord, trace it back to the eye where it is tied off. I replaced mine with Polyurethane cord rather than bungee material, its a little less stretchy which I like.
Using the Delrin hooks listed below, attach one with the snap still on it to the eye under the gunwale. Now fish your cord up through the hole. Determine how long it needs to be to have the desired amount of tension. Now take one of the delrin hooks and clip off the snap so that you are left with a hook and attach it to the end of the cord.

I recently replaced mine with the same kind of cord ..... fortunately the local West Marine had it in stock. I did use my same factory hooks since they were coated metal.

My last boat had the rod buckles like Temple has, I liked them. I dont got the stones to cut holes though .

How do you get to the co angler rod strap to replace it ? Can't figure out for the life of me how to get the panel off my 20 i class!! Any help is much appreciated.

Got it guys carpeted panel 4 screws, 2minutes done. I feel like an idiot !! Fought with the panel with the grab handle for three hours thanks again!!!
