EZ Loader Trailer Help

I just purchased a used boat. The trailer is an 08 tandem axle EZ Loader. When going to back the boat into my drive way, which is up hill, my brakes keep locking up and not allowing me to back the trailer up. I'm using a 4 prong adaptor and the trailer has a 5. Is that my problem?

yes, The 5th wire is most likely your backup lights which triggers the brake bypass solenoid.

For temp use.until you get a.5 flat take the 4 plug out and flip it 180* and then plug it back in that will release the.brakes so you cam.back up....

you can also jump a wire from the back up lights on your truck to the 5 wire that will let you back up temp fix till you wire your truck

There is also a place on you trailer tounge that you can put a spacer into so you can backup. It keeps your surge brake from working.

Most likely it's a UFP A-60 actuator. Most trailer repair shops have the accessories for these actuators. They make a replacement cap that replaces the hydraulic fluid cap cover that came with your Skeeter. You can twist this replacement cap and it will lock out your brakes from engaging as long as you're going in reverse. It will then disengage the bypass solenoid when going forward. It was only $22 and well worth it.... It's great just in case my reverse lights don't work ,or if in an emergency I have to use a vehicle that doesn't have the 5 prong connector.

Yes sir it only takes about 10 seconds to install. Pull off the old cap and insert the new one.
