    Livewell drains water when running

When I run from one spot to another my livewell loses water. Is there a fix for this our must I take it to a shop? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

you probably need a new valve, first check to see that the cable(at the console under the open/close dial) is still connected or working right. if the cable is still working than you need a new valve or rebuild it.

Lots of times you can just dis-assemble the valve, clean it good, and it will work fine. They get fish scales, pebbles, etc in them, and they won't seat off good. Try flushing back & forth with water hose from both ends first. That may take care of the problem. getting to them is a pain in my boat. You have to pull oil tank, and battery charger mounting plate. Not real hard to do, but not fun either.

Thanks Robert! I've already tried flushing from inside the livewell and at the drain. Looks like I'm tearing everything out and rebuilding it!

I had this problem also, then My cable broke. I've been using the plugs, because I've been to lazy to take all the stuff out of the back to fix it properly.
