Questions about my Skeeter

I have a zx250 with yama 250hp. I can go about 70-73 running about 6000rpm. Is this safe for the motor? I hear different things. The setup and prop are factory I have not adjusted anything. water pressure is good too.

Also, how do you all take out scratches? What rubbing compound is safe? I have marks from the cover that won't come off any suggestions and some light scratches from stuff.

Outboards are made to be run.

I use Interlux light duty rubbing compound to take out light scratches and marks.
