I have a T1-25P B&B and also a T1-27P B&B with extra cup added.
Can't say for sure what numbers i'll get with each of these as i got the 25P late last year and the 27 worked over the winter. I'm looking forward to testing them once it warms up a bit.
I suspect i'll be running the 27 most of the time and keeping the 25 as a spare.
Current: 2006 ~ 20i ~ 250 HPDI ~ T1-25p
Previous: 2005 ~ ZX 225 ~ 250 HPDI Phase III - TXP 26p

Had a 24P TXP on my ZX190, it did everything better than my 25M except top end. I don't tourney fish so maybe I can get by with a 25P though most say go down a pitch because of their stiffness.
I have a 25M on the 202. Don't know much about props so I can't make an educated opinion on it's performance.![]()

I am running a 27M and would notice the boat would lag occasionally while getting up on plane as well as the steering would tighten at higer speeds. Tried a Tempest Plus 26 today and it made it feel like a different boat. I was VERY impressed by the Tempest. Solved the little issues I was having on my ZX250 as I posted above.

I own a 1999 Skeeter SX-186 with a 2002 Mercury EFI 150 and I'm getting ok performance except I feel I can get more top-end speed. I dont have a jack plate on it and the motor has a Laser II - 21 Pitch prop running 52-54 tournament load at 5,500 RPM's. Anyone know if I should be running a 23" blade on it? Any other suggestions to get better performance and still keeping it in the recommended range of 5300-5750 RPM's? Any recommendations are greatly appeciated.
I think for you app at 23p tempest plus or the Yamaha prop 23m I think would work good for you, 21p is too low for a 150 imo. Get with mark on the props board he will let you know the best one for you rig

I noticed that my steering hets harder at higher speeds also. How does that tempest do for top speed?

I had an increase in top end as well that was noticeable. One of my partners had the same issues I did with his Zx250 and 27M and tested the same Tempest prop and had the same take as I did. He really was impressed.
It was an M prop and not a T1? I thought all the newer motors ran the T1![]()
I ran my 27 T1 for the first time today and I was just complaining about the steering right before I read this. It made my boat handle like crap at high speeds. I did gain 4 mph but the stability in the steering is gone fore sure or at least it feels like it.
Thanks for your input. I was told from a few guys in my club that the 23 would work best. I called Mercury and the tech said that the Laser II is the fastest prop that they sell for my type application, and said for top end it would perform better than the Tempest Plus. Any thoughts on that?
How do I contact Mark or where is he posted on this forum? Thanks.
So the 27 Tempest gave beter top speed and stopped the steering issue?
