who else has had a problem with the torsion bar suspension ??

halfway to Ivie on Friday I stopped for fuel something looked funny - the forward tire (luckily) was up into the fenderwell a little bit and the tire was not touching ground.

That bad boy was STUCK up there. Though maybe it was just hung. After getting a voice mail back from my dealer and doing some looking, it seems the arm stripped and "jumped" the splines on the torsion bar.

I was able to get the tire off, so I 3 wheeled it back home safely and left it at the dealer.

Has this happened much ? Are the trailers under the same 3 year warranty ???

I had 2 axles go several months apart. Both times I needed a new axle, tire and fender. Warranty was a breeze on the first one, the second was a nighmare.

1- It happened between christmas and new years so it was over a week before I could even talk to anyone to get the ball rolling.

2- I had to put up a fight to get everything settled to my satisfaction, guy at UFP wouldnt even return my calls at one point.

3- UFP didnt pay the shop that did the work (chosen by UFP) in a timely manner, shop bugged the hell out of me trying to get me to pay them out of my pocket. They also had issues with getting hold of the folks at UFP.

Friend of mine has an 06 iclass and he too had a failed axle. Im pretty sure Skeeter is taking care of the issue because its been a common issue.

I had tires that kept wearing uneven and the axles were the problem and it took forever to get them to replace them

I had an axle that kept leaking. My dealer changed and repacked the bearing twice and it still kept leaking. We finally changed the entire axle with a new one. No more problems.

update, talked to the dealer on Friday. Sounds like it's all being covered no problem - but just waiting to actually get the replacement parts in

Replaced both of mine! One went bad so I was not going to wait for the other one to go.
Had to pay for them both, I installed them myself. 2006 ZX.
