Depends on how far and if it's raining out.

I never have, but if I was driving so far that I had to stop for sleep I'd throw the cover on it. the other time I would is if I knew I'd be driving into crappy weather.

Well ours isn't a factory but rather a custom heavy canvas travel cover. If it's just to the local lake we don't but behind the motorhome and headed over the mountain pass (read lots of melting snow, gravel, asphalt crap being thrown all around) then we always have it on.

I can fix it, and if I can\'t fix it, I can fix it so no one can fix it!

I don't ever tow with the cover on. I take it with me and cover at night if I'm away from home, but I never use it when I'm on the road.

I tow with cover only if it is raining. If it is not raining I do not tow with the cover on.

I read somewhere that you would get better gas mileage with the cover on. So last year I drove to alabama with it on and back with out. Interstate 99% of the way. And I saw no difference either way but I did feel more comfortable leaving the boat with the cover on when I had to stop.

I have always heard that your mileage drops when towing with the cover on. This has been my experience also, by about 1-2 mpg. Also, its more wear on the cover. I generally use the cover at the motels and during rain.

I have noticed better gas mileage with my cover on. The Aurora cover is very sleek and seems aerodynamic when its on my Skeeter.

    NEVER!
I did ity once with my first skeeter and one of the straps vibrated the crap out of gel coat.
I was sick over it so I would rather deal with some water in my boat and minor cleanup vs damaged gel coat.

ONLY when I KNOW I'm going to be trailering in bad weather will I cover and drive down the road.

However I do take my cover with me on overnight trips just to cover the boat at the motel ..... a touch more security and to keep me from wiping down seats in the morning.
