Storage compartment gas spring

I have an '03 ZX225. The compartment in front of my drivers console does not have a lift spring on the door. I'm tired of it falling on me when I'm on the water. This is the small compartment with the plastic day box tray. Can anyone tell me which spring and what hardware I would need to order? A picture would be nice too so that I can see where to mount the hardware on the deck and the door. My email address is in my profile. I know all the newer boats have springs on this compartment but I'm an hour away from any dealers. Plus, I figure I can do this myself with the right parts.

I picked up a spring and some hardware to do exactly this as i too am pissed that the lid doesn't have one. I don't have the insert day box tray so that doesn't concern me.

I picked up the same gas spring as on the other smaller compartments. The codes are all written on the sides. The mounts are all a standard size. I can easily attach one to the side but i'm a bit stumped how to attach the one on the lid itself. It seems to me like they are bolted on and then carpted over.
