Fx series and jack plates

Is it true that skeeter boats do not approve the use of hydraulic jack plates on there boats? if true why is this?

I don't know, but there are a couple for sale in the "Boats for sale" right now that have Atlas Hydro plates on them ...

Also i just looked at the Skeeter website and it lists hydraulic jackplat as an option on the FX series boats

Not true, it is an option. You may be thinking of the SX series boats that they didnt approve of putting a jack plate on. I dont think it would be any different than a manual plate as far as an effect it would have on the boat itself.

You can order the Atlas Jackplate from the factory installed.

I did order the Atlas Hydro plate with my factory order. And it's nice!

We just put a hydraulic jack plate on one of the Skeeter prostaff boats.

Very nice boat. I will get some pictures of it without the cover on a little later.

I believe but could be wrong that putting a jackplate of any kind on the SX series voids the hull warranty? correct me if im wrong though..

Don't mean to change the subject, but could someone tell me who the manufacture is of the boat cover on the Skeeter . I'm wanting to purchase a new cover.

DOWCO,but i do not recommend getting one, they are not worth the money. Do yourself a favor and order one from auroura, or just see if the dealer has a shipping cover for your boat
