    Alaskan marine highway

    Has anyone here used the Alaskan marine highway to travel in Alaska. My wife is convinced this is the way she wants to get around next time we go to Alaska. I'm not sure.

    Unless you're taking a car or recreational vehicle with you, go by cruise line. They're much more comfortable. See VacationsToGo.com for the prices and schedules.

    You can rent a car while in Alaska and fly home from there.

    Your wife has it right. Even though I've enjoyed driving the Alaska highway several times over the last five years, I found the one trip from Bellingham, Washington to Whittier, Alaska to be the most enjoyable.
