    Trailer Tire Pressure

Got a zx 200 with tandem trailer, tires say 50 psi on side , but that seems like a lot for trailer tires, whats the best psi to use in them

50 psi. Trailer tires aren't the same as car/truck tires.

Infact i believe if they are marathons there was a note that they should be inflated slightly higher if travelling at higher speeds althoguh i've always stuck to 50.

My partner does the towing and he likes to fly so I run 52 to 53 psi in my tires...

Put in what it says on the tire, also with tandem axle try to get the trailer as level as possible

Strong sidewalls are needed to handle the heavy axle weight. 50 psi.

    Re: Trailer Tire Pressure (ZeroHour)

I asked that question to an EZ Loader rep at Lake Fork back in 2003...he said get very near the max on the tire so I run 47-48psi cause its to warm here half the year.
Some guys just don't know and run 35 like its a truck...major mistake!

    Re: Trailer Tire Pressure (reelman)

Depends on the load class of tire (load class=weight limit). If your tire says to run 50 psi that is what I would run. Look on the tire and see if it has a load class rating C. A lot of people assume that all boat trailer tires run 50 psi because most boats have C class tires. I have seen boats less than 18ft 150 hp with B class tires on the trailer and they run 35 psi. My uncle's tandem that he hauls his tractor on has D class and they require 65 psi...it all depends on the load class as to what psi you run

    Re: Trailer Tire Pressure (SKEETER19741)

i keep mine at 45 psi. if you tow along ways they will heat up and be over 50. the marathons iam worried about. ive not heard much good about them. my right sides are showing alot of wear due to our shity roads but i dont know how to rotate them properly. left sides look new. is ok to change the rotation? damn i need a nascar crew chief to just go fishing.
    be cool
