This is for those who question the need for the big engine. This is for you!

If I lose let it be to a better fisherman! Not because he got to the hole before me!

Wow I am very impressed, a 300 vs a 225. Where is your lifejacket?

Yes I agree! Very foolish of me, sorry guys. But there is a story behind the story. The video was meant for a slick talking salesman that frequents these boards a lot. The person on the other boat is a close friend. Anyways a smooth talking boat salesman told him he didnt need a big outboard for that boat because it was 1' smaller and much lighter than any typical 21fter. That the bigger boats need the bigger engines to maintain their speed because of the heavier weight hulls etc.etc.
That he would be just as fast. I told the salesman he was full of it!!! That there was no freakin way it could keep up unless it was a bullet, allison or stroker. I told him I was gonna run off and leave that boat and email him the freakin video. So there it is. I will agree should have worn my pfd sorry.

sweet Skeeter for sure! I understand the whole big motor thing, but I'm also happy doing up to 64 mph in my TZX190 with the 150. If I could afford a bigger boat I would buy it for the extra room, and storage. I think the top end speed would be the last thing on my list, but again that's just me. I do like speed, and in fact raced offshore power boats, but those days are long gone.....unless I hit the lottery! Again, sweet boat, and anytime I'm gonna go over 30 mph put that PFD on!! You (and your lady) coulda been killed!

this is like our old boat....it's not it, but it was a 28' Pantera with 3 225 Merc outboards. Doing 75 in salt water was CRAZY back in 1980!
