    Random thoughts on my 20i

I am a huge fan of the ZX platform especially the ZX225 models. I have always felt it was one of the all time best models made by any brand. It gave you great performance and an extraordinary fishing platform. At least to me it was the perfect size and layout if you are a serious bass fisherman. It was to the point that the couple of times I tried a different brand I always came back to a ZX225. I always missed a Skeeter too much.
That being said when the iClass models came out in 2006 I just assumed it was the same boat with a tweaked interior. I figured it was all marketing and nothing new and just a way to charge more for the same old thing. Little did I know just how wrong I was until this year when a good friend got me a killer deal on my 20i. After researching the model and then buying it I was hooked.
I have now had the chance to run it for a few months and I feel like to me it is the best boat I have EVER owned. I cannot say enough how much fun this boat is to drive and fish out of. They just got it right with this one. The rough water ride is definitely a step above the ZX and I get the best of both worlds with a 250 on a 20' boat so the extra HP makes it a little more fun to drive. Also a bit more fuel efficient too. I can break into the low 70's fully loaded which is fine to me. I love the small little details on the 20i too and I really enjoy the extra cockpit room. The boat is so comfortable to ride in and fish from that I keep pinching myself thinking there has to be a negative here somewhere...
I love the dash layout and the digital gauges are the deal. East yo see and read and gives the dash panel a cleaner look.
Also the build quality in this boat is amazing. Still have not seen a single stress crack or flaw. From the carpet to all the compartments and lids, its falwless. The rigging is top notch and very organized.
I also love the trailer its on. I was very concerned about the fiberglass fenders but after crawling under it and checking it out as well as using it I can say its built like a tank. I love the C channel contstruction and the Road Armor coating big time. There is zero flex on my fenders when I stand on them and the support system underneath is rock solid.
Long story short the iClass is a step up and easily my favorite boat so far that I have owned. I always felt like I wanted this little feature or that little thing until I bought this one. It truly is one of those rigs that will be hard to part with.

No doubt you hit the nail on the head with that post Mark....I had pretty much given up on getting another Skeeter since I was bound and determined to get a boat I could set in comfortably....just by chance I sat in an i-class at Fun-N-Sun....after I got out my wife looked at me and said, your going to buy one of those arn't you...and I did...everyone who fishes out of it is amazed at its performance, ride, and size of the decks....my partner and I push 550lbs between us and we each carry alot of tackle, food, drinks, and other gear and this boat will still run 70+mph.....they are truely awsome and as far as I am concerned the best model Skeeter has made to date.....

I flat love my ZX225. I do wish there were a 250 hanging off the back. I don't know what I'll do if I ever ride in an FX or i Class.
