I have same exact boat with same exact problem. It fustrates me that I have to do this but it will work. While you have the pumps running, crank the motor, put it in reverse and give it a little throttle. This has made mine working everytime when they were not working.

I also have the same boat. Sometime i am able to go in reverse with the trolling motor and get it to work. If not the big motor will do it. I also do not open the valve on the livewells until I actually catch one. I push the button and then open the live well knob. Does not work all the time but most of the time.

my '08 ZX250 does it too. starboard side more than port, but both sometimes. What you really have to be careful with is if you are just running your livewells on auto fill (no recirculation), it can get an air lock during the day and stop working. I lost two fish in a tournament last year when it happened to me. that is the only time that it has happened that I know of though. ran the recirculation with the fill for the rest of the year.

Its important for the nozzels to point as strait up as possible to let the air out and keep the pump full of water.
