    Cut my Cable (Can it be fixed?)

    Do I have to bite the bullet and buy a new one? Can you solder the wires, RTV silicone and heat shrink to seal it?

    No problem. Go for it. I cut transducer connectors off all the time and put a different one on. Waterproofing will be your biggest challenge.
    My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

    Rtv and marine grade heat shrink tubing should seal it..I would solder the connections for sure..I've done this a few times without issue.
