    Northern Depression

All the lakes and most rivers froze up with 8" plus of ice. Temp is 0 deg F outside this am. It's only January 2nd, lots of winter left.

What I wouldn't give for a day down south right now...

I'm kind of mad at AlGore for fixing Global Warming so quickly. I was kind of enjoying it. We're having a colder and much snowier than normal winter here in NW Ark, too. There is about 3" of fresh snow on the ground this morning, and I saw a -3 for a low temp on the 7 day forecast today. I've been down here 4.5 years and this is the worst winter so far.

But having lived in MN for 35 years, I'll still take this kind of winter over what you guys get up north. I was out in the boat the last 2 days. No ice on the lake. I'd much rather use a boat than chop a hole in the ice!

Fished lake Fairfield saturday. Water temps were between 60 and 75 degrees. Winterized my boat this weekend (i threw a pair of gloves in it).

Hasn't been above freezing here in Ga for 3 or 4 days and isn't going to be until next week. I don't see how you guys up north deal with it, I'd go crazy. I didn't fish last weekend due to 25-30mph winds and 28f high temp. next weekend I'm going anyway just hope the lake isn't frozen.

    Hi Guys.
Man thats Cold , compared to you guys its like Somer all year round Down Under , no ice ,no snow you can fish all year and the fish are bigger aswell .
It is Somer in Australia at present , our Winter ( if you can call it that ) is in June , so the answer here is simple ,come to Australia for a Vacation.
Im off now to find some ice or snow to keep my Beer cold
    Cheers.
    Stu.
