    20i w/250 hpdi series 2 prop ques.

Thinking of changing to 4 blade. Appreciate anyone with some input out there to comment. Nothing wrong with the T1 it came with, its just that big water/rough water and a full load is not quick/fast enough running up big waves at midrange or getting out of the hole (livewells full, 2 people and tackle....and 2 limits )

    NuttyBuddy, I like mine.

I remember you thought my boat was good that day you drove it on Clarks Hill with the 25M Pro Series prop ......... you ought to drive it now with the TR04 4 blade that's on it now. Everything is pretty much the same except it turns better and the rough water ride is better. Holeshot and top end are practically the same.

IDK if the Powertech TR04 is what your combination needs ...... but for a ZX190 w/ 175 it's a really good prop. ESPECIALLY after adding a Cav. Ring.

I wonder how a Merc Bravo would run on your 20i/250HPDI rig?????????

    Good Luck.

    p.s. Back in town now.

p.s.s. My 24" TR04 turns more like a 25" prop, it's real stiff ........... you're welcome to try it if you'd like ..... especially if your RPM's are 'right' with the 25". Might need to wipe a few spots.

Have you ever had your T1 B&B'd? I did both mine and it made all the difference. Steve added more cup to the blades.

Will B&B a Yamaha prop void your warranty? I had a prop related lower unit issue and a Yamaha prop that slung a blade. Yamaha had me covered on both, in both cases, they took my prop. Had I had my props worked, I may have had to pay out of pocket.

Re: 20i w/250 hpdi series 2 prop ques. (phillic)

I tried a 24 pitch 4 bl small bore the other day and it is not quite what I'm hoping for.
Hole shot better, a little more stable but from that point on it was not the right match.
The prop was from a friend just to try out. He suggested a bravo maybe with a 25 pitch.

The hydromotive Quad is a big boar, 15 1/8" prop.

Thanks. Believe that would work well. Went to their web and read.
Anyone have interest in a straight trade for my Vmax 25 T1?
