    Trim Gauge

I have a 2005 TZX 200 and took it out yesterday and noticed when I had the motor trimmed all the way down the gauge still showed it was up. Where does the gauge get its signal from? Can anybody point me in the right direction to start troubleshooting this?

    Thanks!

This is a common problem on Yamahas. Your trim send cam is most likely cracked or broken. 3 dollar part and 5 minute fix.

I replaced one about 3 years ago with plastic, think it was only 3 bucks.

From what I heard the metal ones are all that they are making now. The metal ones are around 10.00 and they come with the screw.

    Re: Trim Gauge (simtech)

I had a break in the weather and took a look but can not find it. I tried zooming in on the picture that was posted but can not make out the location. Can anybody help me locate this?

Update.....I went back and was finally able to locate the part. And it is the plastic piece that is broken. Is there an easy way to set the new one up once it is installed?

    Thanks again!
