Advice on floorboard repair on Skeeter ZX200

I'm looking at a 1995 Skeeter ZX 200 that is in good shape, except that it has been left sitting out in the weather for about the last 4 years in South Louisisna. The floorboards are rotten in spots. How tough of a job and how expensive is repairing the floorboards in a 20' fiberglass boat. Is it doable for a do-it-yourselfer who is faily handy, or is it something that should be left to a pro? I'm just looking to see if it's worth tackling before I make an offer on the boat. If anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Welcome to the board, you should check out the restoration board on this site. It has a ton of great information.

    Pictures would defiantly help.

Ditto on that, some of those guys have done some remarkable things .

Keep in mind if you pay someone to do the job it will cost a fortune in labor. Doing it yourself will involve alot of time, effort and frustration.

It's a pain in the butt. I did some work on the floor of my Dyna-trak. The good news is carpet covers all. That boat would have to be very well priced or equipped for me to look twice at it. Check the transom above all else, the soft floor won't kill you but the transom could......

If the floor is rotten, it is very possible that the stringers and other inner wood is bad.
