Ken, I wish someone would answer your question because I have the same problem. I have a 2004 TZX 200 and on one of my compartments the plastic ring on the handle broke. The lock is fine though. Pain in the you know what to open without that handle.
I posted a question on here awhile back about my power switch problem and no one answered.
You would think Skeeter could afford to have somone from the company monitor the board for Skeeter owners questions.
Tried to knock out pin that holds plastic ring but it just wont come out. Wound up replacing lock cartridge(about $25 each) Only make a few lock numbers mine were sk1. Unscrew plastic lock nut on underside pop out old insert new very easy to replace.
They look like it would be an easy replace for the handle but so far I have not found a replacement handle. I figured you could replace the plastic with the metal ones but so far I cant find them either. I cant believe that something so easy looking cant be done. I guess it is a full replacement.
I had to replace mine for the same reason. I bought them from Cabelas, but I thoguth I read a post here that someone found the originals somewhere. something tells me that even if you found the company they wouldn't want to sell you just the turn rings unfortunately
I called Perko for replacements and they sent me some at no cost. Not even shipping. Unfortunately they are the wrong ones as perko does not make the plastic handled ones.![]()
Boy did I feel stupid. I offered to mail them back and thanked them for the great customer service, but they said to pass them on if I could find someone that could use them.
They are the round C type that I believe fit the early models with the metal locks if any one can use them. Just drop me a line I would be happy to send them to you.
If Perko makes replacements that will work you can bet I will use them. I like a company that stands behind there product.
Ok I just found the same locks I have and they are Perko.![]()
Is not on me this time lol.
I think I will send a picture to perko this time.
