    Water pressure?

Got my prop back and ran it on the bee. It made all the difference in the world. John' Hot Props in Ozark, MO did an excellent job! Picked up 400 rpms and got rid of a lot of squirelliness! Lift is awesome!!!!!!!! My rpms are only at 5400 now and my water pressure is 16 or 17.....this is after I lowered my plate 1/2 inch. I think it needs to go back up. What is the line on water pressure to not go below.

I would stay around 15 PSI, it may go lower....I ran one at 8 PSI at 5800 and didn't get a horn but, I didn't have to pay for the motor either...

I didn't have to pay for mine either. But, it's my dad's demo. Needless to say, If I hurt anything I'm DEAD!!!....and then he'll kill me!!! It's an 05 225 HO DI. I was running about 13psi before we lowered the plate. I was told not to go any lower than 12, but I figured you'd know what's best! Thanks!

On a DI motor stay around 15 PSI, the motor I ran @ 8 PSI was a E-Tec.

    Re: Water pressure? (RUSTY63)

I have a 225 HO etech on a triton. The water pressure varies a bit, but at wide open throttle I get 15 PSI. But at 3000-4000 RPM it gets around 10-12PSI. The only thing that concerned me if I go into a tight turn at about 3500 RPM the pressure will drop to 8-9 PSI, but then after the turn go back up to 10 PSI. Is this OK for this motor? The manual doesn't provide good info on water pressure, is there an alarm telling me the motor is not getting enough water and is getting hot?

    Thanks,

There is a Hot light and a Horn, if your motor has a problem, it will let you know.
