    Final Hockey Highlights video

I started to film my sons games to mess around with my camera, figured out those basic lenses are not to good indoors first couple shots are focus issues.. got a better lens. Still learning the camera. This was fun little project to put together. I also have done one for each of his teammates. Very time consuming, but the kids love to see themselves in a video.

Keep an Eye on the kid with the white skates, and white gloves.

Nice, he does have some skills. He a Squirt or PeeWee? LOL at the 2:07 mark when his teammate fell and slid into the net. I was having similar problems with focus, that glass is thick and seems to block the light the camera needs to get good shots.

One of my boys just played last Saturday in the championship game for fall house league where his team was victorious!

It is amazing the growth and skills they develop over the course of a season. Planning on doing some private skating lessons for my boys over the summer to help them out for next fall.

Is that squirts (10U)? Do you guys play the Bandits? My nephew plays for them, and his father is one of the coaches.

He is a PeeWee, this is Falmouth hockey, the youth program has its own rink and it is one of the nice rinks in our area. The Bandits is the club out of Bridgewater, we have a few kids that play with them, I just have not put him in club, he loves hockey but the passion is Lacrosse. Beamer, I am a ex Camillus kid! Lived there in the 70s as a kid.

    Nice.

Best 4 years of my life were following my grandson when he was on a travel hockey team age 7 to 10. We went to around 140 games. He was leading scorer, captain and MVP for 2 seasons(age 8 and 9).

Nice video and there are a few kids there that have some excellent skill and intuition. Usually kids at this age play only north/south but I saw some kids skating on angles to get open ice. Doesn't sound like much but its a great sign of confidence. Great skating and edges too! Have fun!

Not so much this year. It only had ice for a short time and it wasn't good. Had a lot of rescues in CNY this year and even lost a few. That is one of the reasons that I stay off. Let me know if you are ever in the area and want to get on the water. BTW, my wife grew up in Rochester, MA, pretty close to you, I think.

He has more assists than goals, and leads in assits.......
These highlights are to match the song......runaway........he is normally the fastest kid on the ice.

He normally takes off anf stays wide. and draws the D, and the other wings are open in front.....its been pretty effective.

Awesome! Congrats. Makes me look forward to watching my youngest play. I've had both boys in skating lessons and my oldest isn't that into it, but my youngest just turned 7 and he's all-in.

It is fun to watch them progress, hockey in our area is a very long season, 7 months. You are is great area for Lacrosse, I played in college with coach from Evergreen. The head coach at Grandview HS is top notch, Patrick Chapla. If they like Hockey, they will like Lacrosse too........

    Have fun watching them grow...
