From what i've seen and heard they are very nice boats.I'm actually gathering as much info as i can on them also.going to be getting a new boat in a couple of months and the 200 is at the top of my wish list right now.So i'm waiting on what jason has to say also.![]()
I have a 2008 dual console zx200 w/200 hpdi that I bought from Jason. Top speed on mine, 70.2 mph and ran that down on the Tensaw River down in south Alabama in what was somewhat salty water. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Anyway expect somewhere around 69. I moved up from a 17' Tracker so the ride is great, as is the handling. I haven't had it in very rough water yet so I can't comment on that aspect. I have experienced some very slight chinewalking but honestly, I don't see how anything at the weight of a boat and moving at more than 65 mph can't experience a little of this. The storage is one of the things that made made me a Skeeter owner. I haul a lot of gear and it fits in my boat. Both front and rear decks have a lot of room. Obviously, the front deck is really nice with a lot of room to operate.
Hope this is helpful,
Mike
One other thing, you asked about cons. This is not really a con but more of a learning thing that is different from any other boat that I've owned.
Though I grew up on the water and was in a boat quite often, I had to re-learn how to load this boat. You will need to leave somewhere between 12" and 16" of your trailer bunks exposed when you load. If you don't, you ain't gonna be happy with the results. The way the front of a Skeeter is built, it ain't gonna load very well unless you set your trailer up right on the ramp. This may or may not be an issue with other performance bass boats, I don't know. Just my take on what I have experienced.

Thats odd, my ZX250, the bunks have to be fully submerged. Guess it depends on the steepness of the ramp too.

Have not run the ZX200 but the ZX225 is one fine ride
Am quite happy with my 2006 ZX200 with the 200 HDPI...and hit 71gps once!
Layout is best of any boat I have had the past 28 years...a big plus.
Way to load is to get lake water line an inch or so below the top of the side step plate in front of the wheel...and its a perfect load up every time then.
I would buy this boat again and again if given a choice.

Where to start??
The ZX200 is truely and awesome boat. I ran one for about 6 months last year and also spent about 2 weeks solid in one doing the photo and video shoot for the 08 brochure. The 200 is one of my favorite boats in the line up. It will run 68-72 MPH depending on set up and load. As for the rough water ride, it will take anything you throw at it. We have sold a few other brands (not gonna mention names) and the ZX200 will out perform and out ride their 20 and 21 footers. The 200 also has as much or more storage than the competitions bigger boats. Call me and I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have, and I may also have a boat for you.I have a couple of loaded 09's in stock at pretty good deals, as well as a used 08. Look forward to hearing from you.
Come down and take a ride. I've got one here that is water ready and a couple that we just uncovered that are loaded. Call me and I'll have one hooked up and waiting to go to the lake. (it's only 6 miles from the store).
You won't be disapointed with a ZX-200. They are great boats![]()
i have a zx200, and have had a zx225, both are nice boats, i bought skeeter for its larger wider deck space than most other boats, ( even on the zx190 18fter )and more storage, after i purchased both boats noticed that the ride is consideratly better than alot of other boats, especially in rough water, expect 68-71 gps speed depending on load and setup of boat, to me the zx series is alot better than the sx series, offers more xtras on boat as standard, before i-class came along, zx was there top of line boat
I have a 07 zx200 and have had up on Lake Erie in 4-6 footers with no problems. You will have a ton of room to store everything.
The only con I really have is that the compartments are not 100% water proof.
