    Handling Issue

I have a Skeeter ZX175 with 150 Mercury and CMC jackplate on it. It also has a 4 blade prop and hydraulic steering. When running across the water, the rear end will slid to the right without notice. It happens at slower speeds and higher speeds. It does not seem to happen at any exact speed. I never get the trim full out as this slipping scares me !!!!!!! I have checked all nuts and bolts for tighness but can not find anything nor have I added any equipment to the mix either. Any ideas would be very helpful.

    THANKS !!

You may have some air in your hyd. system. Try bleeding it an see if it cures your problem. One other question, how high do you have your motor. It may be too high but I doubt itis causing your problem.

    Re: Handling Issue (Skeet'r89)

I had a boat do the same. OR, at least it sounds the same.
It almost felt like driving a car and hitting a little patch of ice. Just go along great without a problem and the back end would slip off to the side, then all would be fine again.
This was my 1st Skeeter, years ago.
It went away when I started adjusting the motor height.
Propshaft was 4" below the pad.
Bringing it up made it stop "slidding" off to the side. Made it much faster, and created a new demon, Severe Chinewalk.
That was only a problem for awhile though. I just had to learn to drive it then.
Now I think... "if it ain't wigglin, it ain't runnin'.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........

sounds like your motor is too low. What are the measurements?
