    Help Livewell

What is the difference between a Divided Rear Livewell and Dual Rear Livewells¿?

If both can take out the divider to make a larger and biger livewell¿?

Divided means it's one livewell system, with a divider in between but they share the same water. Dual rear is two completely seperate compartments.

Some divided livewells you can remove the divider, others you cannot. Dual livewells are better IMO, if you fish tournament fish alone or have a draw partner that cant catch a fish you dont have to carry as much water.

What i'm still trying to figure out is how they came up with the name starboard and port for the live wells... i was confused as heck when I first learned the names. Why couldn't they just say, "left side, right side?"

Quick explanation - At sea, an emergency can happen at any time, and it is vital that everything aboard can be clearly identified and described. Where ‘left’ and ‘right’ could lead to confusion, ‘port’ and ‘starboard’ are perfectly clear and unambiguous to a seafarer.

^aah... well that makes more sense now. hehe... I still wish they would change it to something more like... "driver's side and passengers side"... most people still give me the "WTF?!" look when I say, "yea just put it in the starboard/port side."

Heres the way I taught my daughter which was which. Left-port same number of letters, right - starboard both more letters. She new port from starboard at 5 years old.
