anyone tried hydro tec bolt on-s

I was checking out hydro tec's yamaha performance parts. Has anyone tried any of these products? They sound too good to be true and you know what that means.

Hydo Tech and their parts are everything they claim. In fact, they just built a Yamaha 250 with a phase III kit and a couple other goodies that got them 370 hp. This motor ran 114 mph on a Stroker boat and is now for sale in the motors for sale thread!

I would say you won't be disappointed with anything HYDROTEC offers. Once my warranty is up on my HPDI, it will have some Hydrotec goodies added to it.

I have a phase II on a zx225 with a 3.1efi and I can tell you they work. If you have the money to play with it is worth it.

Re: anyone tried hydro tec bolt on-s (shortcast)

    rodney or shortcast,

Getting out of a Blazer 202 (84.6 gps - 2.5) into what I thought was a heavier "better fishing boat." Are you telling me it is possible to have the best of both worlds? I know it can be done with the Mercs, but is hydrotec really doing it with the yammies (possibly better)? Boat I bought is just out of warranty, so it doesn't bother me to hop it up. Could a phase 2 on a zx225 possibly get me to 80? If so, I would like to see the look on some faster boat owners faces

Re: anyone tried hydro tec bolt on-s (fishin wheeler)

With my zx225 dual console, I went from 71 to 76 with 2 people, both tanks full of gas, 4 batteries,MK 101 trolling motor, full of fishing gear, 1/2 full in live wells in 80 degree weather with a worked 27 tempest. I am still trying different props and trying to fine tune my set up. With a phase III I think you could get right at 80. As far as stress on the engine any time you get more power out of a engine there is always a chance it will have a shorter lifespan. But hydrotec has the best product to get power with as little loss of life as possible. You can call Wayne or Matt anytime and they will be able to go over your set up with you. And they will help you after the sale also, so you can get the best performance possible.

Was quite pleased with my P1 kit on my 2000 rig...74.4gps... the 200 ran with the 225s.

I know for a fact that the intake spacer plate is not what its claimed to be. Waste of time and money.
