Ignition Switch ZX185C

Alright, Skeeter doesn't have this switch anymore.
I am yet to look closely at mine, and Bill gave me the old one with the boat and I put it in the storage compartment in the boat....so I got nothing to look at.
Mine works, but needs to be turned only 95% of the way to activate.

So I have looked at few 'push to choke' switches....two primarily, 6 terminals, and one says for most Mercs, the other for OMC's.
No mention of Yamaha. I think one mentioned Magneto ignition...I am pretty sure not to use that one.

Anyone else replace their key switch?!

Buy the best and get a Yamaha through boats.net... But they are more money..Better quality.

I replaced mine with one I bought at a local Boaters world store. Just has to be push to choke and have the same amount of terminals. no problems with it yet.

Hey Jonathon,

When I bought those switches years ago I bought the last couple they had, they said they would not continue to make them. I believe I left a yellow shipping package with Co. name and address in the goodie bag I gave you with the boat. If I were you I would probably replace with a good Yamaha one like 21xdc said, that is the second or third time it has went out. Take care.

I've got a ZX176C and it came with an OMC ignition switch. Worked fine so far....
