    DOWN VIEW

    I was playing with my new 93sv and noticed the down view was really dark. I the side view was fine and everything else. Just the DI. Now this is out of the water in the garage. It works good in Simulator but thats all.

    Yeah, you cant do any testing out of the water.

    Can you do damage to the xducer turning it on, out of the water? I had heard yes, but not sure.

    Probably not with Garmin transducers, but I prefer to play it safe and not run them out of the water. Some other brands/models can be damaged if run out of the water.

    I wouldn't leave it on all night in the garage. But leaving it on fishing all day, shouldn't be a problem.
