    Skeeter repaired my boat

Just got word back from Tim King regarding my boat. The repaired the cracks and my boat is due back on the 7th of May. Here is what he said about repair:

I asked the head guy in the shop and he said no the deck was not removed
but the area was checked and fixed correctly. They didn't just fix the
crack they had to grind into the glass and use more glass to strengthen
it in that area. He said it had a weak spot and would push up with any
type of stress in that area. He had seen that happen before and said
there is nothing under the deck there to push up.

I am a bit concerned about it showing up again, but I guess time will tell. At this point I just want the boat back so I can fish out of my own boat again.

Good deal. Glad they took care of you. I would feel the same about it coming back too. Hopefully, it wont. Just keep an eye on it and see what happens or sell it and get another one.

Yeah, right now I would not sell it as I have too much going on. I will have to change my avatar though once I have the boat back

    Frogbite,

I bet it's good as new! At least skeeter acknowledged there was an issue! And it's repaired. Bet when you get it back, you can't even find where the problem was!!!

Yeah, I will have lots of time to look it over as well since I have to load my crap back into the boat. I still find it amazing how much stuff you can fit into the boats storage. I even found a rod that I forgot I had in the rod box. I stuck it in there two years ago when I bought the boat and the last time I looked for it I ripped my garage apart.

I'm sure it will be right. I would feel that if anyone could fix it, Skeeter could. Hell, they made the boat so they know the ins and outs of it better than anyone else. And I would think they would do it right. They wouldn't want any bad exposure. BTW, that avatar is killer.

Did they loan you a boat all this time?

Tim is the guy working on replacing my seats. Still waiting to hear back from them. He sounded like a real nice guy on the phone.

    Good luck to you

No loaner boat. I am not a pro nor a Team person.

Tim has been great. Once I get the boat back, I will be sure to let Skeeter know how much I appreciated his efforts.

Re: Skeeter repaired my boat (New Moon)

I picked up the boat today. I am not very impressed. They did all the repairs as they said they would but left an area unbuffed that I had to go back with a drill and compound to get smooth. The trolling motor was lose (they repaired some cracks around it). They reused the rubber washers under the grab rail and they are falling apart now.

I then go under and look at the area around the jackplate and yest mine has chips out of the transom as pointed out in:

I am grateful that Skeeter did the repairs though as they did not have to. I will deal with the chips around the transom once I find out what Baytownbrown goes through. Right now, just glad to have my boat back so I can fish out of my own ride.
