    Creating frequency presets problem

    I can't seem to add frequencies with my 73sv so I can have two different ones show in the split chart view for traditional sonar, whenever I try to add one I get and invalid frequency error message, transducer I have is a GT52HW-TM. It odd because when I first got the unit the frequencies was listed as 50kHz and I changed it to CHIRP the 50kHz disappeared, only ones now available are CHIRP and 200kHz. Upgraded and now running software version 3.80, was running 3.20 when the 50kHz was showing up as one of the frequency presets.

    Sounds like you have the wrong transducer selected. 50kHz should not have show up.

    Set the unit to be viewing 2d sonar
    Menu->Sonar Setup->
    From here there is some variation by unit. Next you would choose Transducer if it's shown or Installation.
    Verify that it is set to the GT52HW-TM

    Once it is set to the right transducer the unit will know and allow specific frequencies according to the specs for that transducer.

    Also, if its not recognizing the transducer, you may need to up-date the software. Chances are good your unit shipped with outdated software if its been sitting on a shelf for any length of time.

    Out of date software is what it was I guess, it was running 3.20, under the 3.20 it was showing 50kHz as the transducer frequency for a GT52HW-TM. I updated to 3.80 and now can add frequencies from 140kHz to 240kHz.
