    E Ladder mounting & rattle

I have an 03 Skeeter ZX 190 and I made a trade for an E Ladder. The one I got has a bracket on it that lines up with the motor mounting bolts which sets it way back. I don't see that bracket in this pic, and it appears that it is mounted directly to the jack plate. If this is the case, wouldn't the bolts be in the way if for some reason you lowered the jack plate? could someone with a newer Skeeter in which the E Ladder came factory installed please explain how it is mounted? Pics would be great, and I appreciate any help & advise. also, I noticed the ladder is not real tight in it's holder, and I know it will rattle. Is there any way to stop them from rattling?

Re: E Ladder mounting & rattle (blackknife)

Think mine is mounted the same as that one in the pic. I have to lower the ladder to get at the two jack plate bolts.

that is a pic from the skeeter site. mine is not mounted like that, so could you please explain to me how yours is mounted? do the mounting bolts go through the jack plate? is it 3 bolts?

    Thanks!

I use a bungee cord to keep it from rattling........Bungee goes from the gap in the jack plate around the top step and attaches on the lower step. Mine is mounted on the port side engine mounts. Bill

Re: E Ladder mounting & rattle (Poweller)

thanks Bill. I have mine mounted to the motor bolts right now, but I think it's out too far considering it's a 10" jack plate. did you install it, or was it factory installed?

Re: E Ladder mounting & rattle (blackknife)

I mounted mine and have a 12" Jackplate. I would like to eventually mount mine directly to the jackplate like Skeeter is doing now. The only time it gets in the way is taking off the port rear strap.
