Fuse blows when recirculator pump is turned on

I have a 2007 ZX200 and when I turn on the recirc. pump on the port side it blows a fuse. Any suggestions? Dealer is 190 miles away.

Sounds like a bad pump, pull out the cartridge and see if the impeller spins freely. If it doesn't then just replace the cartridge.

Could also be a short..bare wire or bad switch...disconnect it from the switch and see if it still blows, if it doesn't you will know if it's the switch.

10 Bucks says the pump is cracked.....both of mine went out that way within two week of each other that way.
