    Older TR21 prop help

Acquired a mint 1998 Triton TR21 and repowered it with a 2008 Yamaha 225 HPDI with a Hydrotech new power head. Got threee hours of break in on the motor. Just wondering if anybody has a similar set up and what prop they are running. I have a 25T1 on it but I don't think it's enough prop. Was thinking a 26P or a new Fury Four 25P. Cousin has the same boat but a 225 EFI Merc and runs a 25P Trophy. Thanks fellas. Gotta get through break in to really know what the max RPMs will he but just wondering what others are running.

26 Fury best hole shot. 27 Tempest best speed. 28 Bravo best all around.

How many rpm's will it turn the 25T at WOT? How high are you running prop to pad now?

You want a large diameter prop like you have now with that motor. Bravo or T series Yamaha and if you can hit the limiter with the 25" you have now go to a 27".

What RPMs are you hitting and what speed? Prop to pad? Thanks!

I have a 10" jackplate as well. I have only driven to 72 MPH twice. I friend came back with 76 on the GPS. Honestly, most of the time I just run from fishing spot to spot around 56 - 62. I have yet to max the RPMs out.
(I still struggle some with chine walking, lol. I have good and bad days). The bravo provides better all around handling imo. At first I had a T1 27.

Sorry I guess I suffer from old age syndrome This was with my 250 Pro XS. 25 Fury and 26 Tempest worked best for me when I had 225. Never ran a Bravo with my 225 but I would think what Savage suggested would work.

When you get it broken in you can run a 27" prop but you'll have to raise it up higher close to 2" under or higher with the Yamaha and keep your water pressure above 11 lbs at WOT.
